In-product surveys are powerful tools that let product teams collect contextual insights directly from actual users. Well designed in-product surveys can unlock rapid insights from real users and help product teams make informed decisions with user insights. In this guide, we will walk through how you can create and launch an in-product survey using Hubble's SDK. If you need instructions on how to install our SDKs, please see our developer documentation.
Creating a new survey
Get started by selecting In-product under Create new option. You can either build from scratch or use existing templates to get started with.
Add tasks and questions
Add questions to the survey. Select the question types through the selector, depending on the type of feedback you need to collect from your users. Hubble in-product supports different question types such as emoji, numerical scale, star rating, multi-select answers, and open-text.
Customize your survey
Click on the settings button to customize the style of the survey. You can fully customize, including button color, text color, radius, outline width as well as font style. You can also use the position selector to place the survey in different parts of your web application.
- You can set a maximum number of responses to be collected through the survey. If you set a maximum response cap, the survey will automatically stop showing to the users when the max response count is hit.
Select how to trigger the survey
Hubble offers several options to launch surveys including page URL, CSS selector, events and manual triggers. Each of these options can be used to shows surveys to users in your web applications in different ways. Please take a look at the guides on how to use each of these options.
Configure the survey
Next, you can specify configuration to set the exact timing, frequency and position settings. Select the appropriate options based on your needs and the type of response you need.
Launching the survey
After customizing the survey settings, click on the publish button to launch the survey! Your survey should be now live and ready to collect responses from your application.
