You can run A/B testing or split testing in Hubble with unmoderated studies using task groups. A/B testing is a research technique useful for comparing two or more design variations to evaluate how one performs relative to the other ones.
What is Task Groups?
Task groups is a utility task in unmoderated studies that lets you create groups of tasks, customize the order of presentations and counterbalance your study. You can set to:
- Shuffle groups: randomly shuffling the order of the sub-groups within the group.
- Picking and showing only the specified number of groups.
** Please note that task group is replacing Randomizer task, and Randomizer will be deprecated. To use Task groups, make sure to remove any existing randomizers in the tasks.
Using Task Groups
Step 1. You can add task group within the task list.
Step 2. You can set the settings for the given task group by selecting the task group modal on the left hand side. You can then add as many sub-groups by selecting Add group.
Step 3. To add tasks into sub-groups, you can simply drag and drop the task, or click the + button.
Step 4. You can customize and manage the randomization settings in the task group menu.
- You can set the randomization option for the task group to either shuffle or pick N of the sub-groups.
- You can also set randomization option for each sub-task groups.
