You can insert short video clips to guide your testers in unmoderated studies. Inserting video clips is a useful way to make unmoderated studies to be a more personalized experience for the testers by showing a face, verbally greeting the tester and sharing any important instructions. There are two ways to embed guide videos:
1. Welcome screen
You can insert video to greet the tester, introduce yourself, share any instructions for the study, and so on. It is recommended as it can set the tone of the study as an introduction. To insert a video in the welcome screen, simply hover over to “Start recording” option. You may be prompted with permission option when first trying it. A recording screen will pop-up.
Once the recording is processed, a thumbnail of the video will pop up for you to review the video.
2. Prototype Tasks
You can insert a video guide for every prototype task. It is helpful to highlight any special instructions or expectations before testers go through the prototype. For example, emphasizing to think aloud or that not all buttons might not work depending on the fidelity of the prototype.
You can review how the videos will appear from the testers’ end by seeing the preview.
