Internal participant management lets you add your own participants to Hubble and manage them in a centralized participant list, separate from the participant list you recruit via Respondent or User Interviews.
You can import an existing participant list using a CSV file or paste participant information directly into Hubble. Once added, participants will appear in your table and can later be invited to your Hubble studies.
Adding participants
There are two ways to add participants to your Internal Participant list:
Upload a CSV
If you already have a participant list in a spreadsheet or another system, you can upload it to Hubble as a CSV file. This is useful when you're importing a larger list of participants at once.
Prepare your participant data in a CSV format, then upload the file to add those participants to your Internal Participants table.
Paste participant information
You can also add participant information by pasting values directly into Hubble as shown in the exmaple.
Enter or paste participant values separated by commas or in a new line, then add them to your participant table.
This can be useful when you only need to add a few participants or want to quickly copy information from another source without preparing a separate CSV file.
Managing your participant list
Once participants are added, they'll appear in the internal participants list.
The table acts as a central place to maintain the participants available to your team for research. You can review participant information and use the list when deciding who you'd like to invite to upcoming studies.
Participant records can also include additional information or traits that help your team identify and organize participants.
Managing different participant groups
You can organize participants into different groups to keep your internal participant list easier to manage. Groups can help you separate audiences such as customers, employees, beta users, or other research panels and make it easier to find the right participants for future studies.
Managing default table columns and traits
Customize your participant table by choosing which default columns and participant traits are shown. This helps keep the table focused on the information most relevant to your team, while still allowing you to store additional participant details for filtering and recruitment.
Using your participant list for recruitment
Adding someone to your Internal Participant list does not automatically invite them to a study.
When you have a published, active study, you can choose Your Participants option to set up recruitment and invite participants from the table list.
Optionally, you can also directly invite participants from the table view by selecting the participants you want to invite.
This allows you to maintain one participant database and reuse it across multiple research projects.
